John B returns with Double Dragon – a high-energy, cinematic Drum & Bass re-imagining of the City Slums theme from the 1987 classic video game Double Dragon. Originally composed by Yasunaka Yamane, this iconic 8-bit anthem gets a full 2025 dancefloor rebirth – loaded with SID-chip synths, nostalgic retro charm, and John B’s trademark futuristic DNB production.

With Double Dragon, John B perfectly fuses gaming nostalgia and rave euphoria – classic chiptune energy meets heavy modern DNB arrangement and razor-sharp production. Expect soaring retro leads, punchy breaks, and uplifting festival-level vibes built for peak-time moments.

The track made its live debut at TwitchCon, where it received a huge response from fans. It’s the first sampler single from John B’s upcoming album Found in Rave, a full-length project celebrating the crossover between gaming culture and high-octane Drum & Bass.

The album will feature new material inspired by iconic games like Halo, Doom, and Escape from Tarkov – including the forthcoming Terminal Hardcore – uniting John B’s love of retro gaming, synthwave aesthetics, and cutting-edge dance music.

After a packed summer of DJ gigs and Twitch streams, John B has been deep in the studio, balancing music production with creating visuals for his month-long Halloween series on Twitch – culminating in an 8-hour front-page stream on October 29th.

John B recently broke the 30K-follower milestone on Twitch, where his viewership stats place him in the top 0.1% of all channels worldwide – a remarkable achievement for an independent artist and DNB DJ.
He’s also preparing for a headline slot at Halloween Fever at Halle 02 (Heidelberg, Germany) and looking ahead to the full Tarkov 1.0 release in November, where his in-game music legacy continues.
Away from the studio, John B recently took time out to walk over 100 miles of the South West Coast Path, recharging creatively before diving into his busiest release run yet.
