Tested out a few new visual techniques on my stream last week (also decided to play some non-DNB stuff for a little change).

Been wanting an easy way to do this live 'trails' effect for ages so glad I know how now!

If you’d like a little bit of John B / Loft Crew Twitch livestream history, I’m selling my old mixer on eBay - needed to upgrade to one that has Serato built in so I can prep for my new AV show & do some cool new stuff on my Twitch livestreams.

It’s a great mixer and has served me well for over 15 years, and was the mixer I’ve been using in all my twitch livestreams in the loft for the last few years.

** It does have a fair few tech issues and really needs a proper service to sort out the crackling and intermittent audio on a few of the inputs, crossfader, and faders, so beware - it’s listed on eBay as faulty for this reason. **

If you’re a fan of my music & my livestreams (and want to help me clear a bit of space & pay off the finance on my new mixer lol) this is for you - happy to sign too it if you like!

Apparently its 35 years today that @thecure releas

Apparently its 35 years today that @thecure released 'Disintegration'. Another of my all time favourite albums that means a lot to me, and I'm sure a lot of you too!

I've listened to the title track, maybe superstitiously & definitely motivationally, before any important event in my life, all my exams from GSCE through to University finals, before half-marathons, even my wedding-day! I first heard it on tape via a friend at school who was far more of an advanced goth than me at the time. 💜

I think I may have posted this photo before, it's possibly my first ever time DJing in public, but I was just filling in for my Dad - I think it was at Maidenhead WAMSAD or Rugby Club, or maybe Boulters' Lock for a friend of the family's 40th Birthday or something like that. Dad made those lights in the background himself and the switching unit controller too! Think those are trusty Technics SLPG 1200a CD players - 3 stacked up lol! I still have one as my main CD player in the living room! Triple dropping ABBA b2b Beach Boys there no doubt :-) Would love it if we could use AI to refine whatevers printed out on that paper in front of the mixer (which is also the one I had sat in my studio at home for years).

Photo taken during a school exchange to Germany (Duisburg) when I was about 15 - staying with @bige1505 who at the time lived in a tennis centre! Great memories - played a bit of tennis, somehow played chess against some young prodigy kid that was simultaneously playing 20 people in the bar one night, and also remember a really nice bike ride along the river with Birgit's mum. And lots of very early starts - German school started way earlier than us. I had meticulously chosen a selection of cassettes to take with my walkman, pretty much all Pet Shop Boys and Depeche Mode albums haha! Very impressed with my colourful rucksack in the background too but good to see I was wearing mostly black that day - I did have an embarrassing selection of 'The Sweater Shop' jumpers back then. How time flies. Lucky to have had these experiences. Doing my best to keep on keepin on. ❤️

My Dad being an absolute legend this morning with a quick lift to the station (to save my Achilles) and he knew I was off to do a vinyl DNB set at @theboatpod for @BaileyIntabeats record store day - picked me out a mint condition @rickastley LP! ❤️🙏👌🚀 Not sure I can fit it into the set but will certainly give it a full listen start to finish tonight - love that album!

Almost there & seems like a big improvement! This

Almost there & seems like a big improvement! This week I’ve been painting the ceiling in the section of my loft where I do my livestreams. I used to use photographic card stuck up there instead but it wasn’t a perfect solution because of undulations causing shadows so it wasn’t a nice uniform green - means the chromakey filter you use to make it disappear has to work harder and can’t always get it right. Hopefully this will step up the quality a bit :-)

About to start painting the loft ceiling green!

Another little DIY admin task ticked off - my love

Another little DIY admin task ticked off - my lovely (but old) @rimowa carry on suitcase’s wheels had to be retired - so thanks to the London Rinowa Service centre I managed to get a replacement set & have just cleaned it up and got new ones one - back to gliding perfectly #airportninja styles. Even used a little bit of my special bike chain lube to hopefully help them last a bit longer. Strange how some seemingly boring random jobs can be so satisfying to get done lol - wish I could get this enthusiastic about more important stuff sometimes hahaha Respect to the @rimowa London Service centre for being so helpful (I still had to pay big Stonks for the wheels but they were on the ‘case’) 🧳 👌🤘
